JUNE IS NATIONAL MIGRAINE MONTH.

Loud noises, strong smells, bright lights, even seasonal allergies can trigger a migraine headache.  It’s impossible to avoid these triggers. However, there are other migraine trigger sites that can be deactivated.

Over the past 17 years, Dr. Guyuron and his research team have led the way in developing a surgical technique to treat migraines.

They have identified several migraine trigger sites.  The most common migraine trigger sites are in the forehead, temples, sinus area, behind the eye, and back of the head. When a nerve in the trigger site becomes irritated, a migraine may occur.

For many years, medication was the only treatment option for migraines. Today, migraine surgery can be performed to remove the trigger that causes the migraine. Dr. Guyuron pioneered this procedure and he has been highly successful, with over 90% of patients reporting significant improvement or elimination of migraines with long lasting effects.

Dr. Guyuron is affiliated with the American Migraine Center, University Hospitals and Case Western Reserve University.

Dr. Guyuron would be happy to meet with you and determine if you are a candidate for migraine surgery.
