Some of the surgical techniques we use for the treatment of migraine headaches, not only do they take migraine headaches away, they actually have some side benefits. For example, when we remove the muscles in the forehead to eliminate the headaches, actually the patient’s forehead becomes smoother and those eleven lines go away. Or when we work inside the nose to remove the headaches behind the eyes, the patient’s breathing improves. So most of the time, there are at least some benefits from the surgery even if the headaches do not go away.
